QR code for an event
Event posters go to print weeks before the event, and plans change in between. The venue moves, the RSVP form gets replaced with a ticketing page, the schedule gets a new speaker. A static code locks you into whatever link you had on print day.
With a dynamic code, the poster points to your ScanStill link and you aim that link wherever it needs to go this week: the signup form before the event, the live schedule on the day, the photo gallery or feedback survey afterwards. Same poster, three jobs.
Scan counts also tell you which posters work. Give the flyer at the coffee shop and the one at the library their own codes and you will see which spot pulled people in.
Print tips
- Posters seen from a distance need bigger codes. A rough rule: scanning distance divided by 10 equals minimum code width.
- Write the date and a short URL near the code for people who will not scan.
- Test the code in the actual lighting at the venue, not just at your desk.
Colors, size and logo
The logo covers the center 20% and we switch to the highest error correction so the code still scans.

Static code. Free, unlimited, never expires. The content is baked into the pattern.
Going to print? A dynamic code lets you count scans and change the link later without reprinting.
Make it dynamic, freeQR codes for events: questions
Can I change the link after the posters are printed?
Yes, with a dynamic code, including the free one. The printed code never changes, only where it sends people.
Can I see how many people scanned my poster?
Every dynamic code shows a scan count. Paid plans add a daily chart and a breakdown by country and device.
What happens to the code after the event?
Nothing breaks. Point it at photos, a recap or your next event. ScanStill codes do not expire.
