QR code for YouTube
Video is often the best answer to "how do I set this up". A QR code on a manual, a product box or a workshop poster that opens the right YouTube video saves a support email.
The problem: videos get replaced. You film a clearer version, the old one gets taken down, or you move from a single video to a playlist. With a static code, printed instructions now open a "video unavailable" screen.
A dynamic code keeps that link under your control. Point it at the current best video and change it whenever you upload a better one. For channels, link to your channel's handle URL so it survives renamed videos.
Print tips
- Use the full youtube.com link or the youtu.be share link. Both open the app on phones that have it.
- Add a start time to skip intros: the share menu has a "start at" option.
- Say what the video is next to the code, for example "2 minute setup video".
Colors, size and logo
The logo covers the center 20% and we switch to the highest error correction so the code still scans.
Static code. Free, unlimited, never expires. The content is baked into the pattern.
Going to print? A dynamic code lets you count scans and change the link later without reprinting.
