QR code for Instagram
Instagram has its own QR feature, but it is tied to the app and to one profile. If you rename your handle, start a second account for the shop, or decide TikTok matters more next year, every sticker and flyer with the old code is stuck.
Use your profile link, such as instagram.com/yourhandle, in a dynamic code. The code on your packaging, counter and business cards then goes wherever you want your audience to land: your profile today, a link-in-bio page next month, a new handle after a rebrand.
Scan counts give you a simple answer to whether the window sticker is doing anything.
Print tips
- Add a short call to action near the code, like "Follow for daily specials".
- Instagram links open in the app if it is installed and in the browser if not, so both cases work.
- Brand colors are fine for social codes, just keep the code darker than its background.
Colors, size and logo
The logo covers the center 20% and we switch to the highest error correction so the code still scans.
Static code. Free, unlimited, never expires. The content is baked into the pattern.
Going to print? A dynamic code lets you count scans and change the link later without reprinting.
Make it dynamic, freeQR codes for instagram: questions
Why not use Instagram's built-in QR code?
It only points to one profile and you cannot change where it goes. A dynamic code lets you redirect it later and count scans.
Will it open the Instagram app?
On most phones, yes, if the app is installed. Otherwise it opens the profile in the browser.
Can one code link to all my social profiles?
Point it at a link page that lists them. With a dynamic code you can change that page anytime.
